Is Bridging Hearts Limited a Charity?

As at Sep 2020, we have just been registered as a not-for-profit organisation.  We do not have the charity status.

Do I have to pay for the programmes that is reflected in your website?

​

Yes, there is a cost to the programmes listed. Do connect with us if you are interested in any of the programmes. Finance should not be a hindrance to couples who need help in marriage. Do let us know if the cost is a problem and we will work at it to ensure that help is offered.

​

If you want to conduct any of the programmes within the church, do let us know as we do have a funding mechanism to help churches with the cost of training.

How is Bridging Hearts Limited funded?

Bridging Hearts Limited is funded through donations and fully run by a group of volunteers.

Who are your Marriage Mentors?

​

Our Marriage Mentors are married couples from all walks of life, sharing a common passion to build strong and healthy marriages.  All of them are trained with PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator certification and most are also "Save Your Marriage Before It Starts" - SYMBIS certified facilitators.

Does Bridging Hearts provide counselling services? 

​

Bridging Hearts is not a counselling center. We provide mentoring services and if the need arises, we will direct couples or individual to other professional counselling services. Do visit our "PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES" page to view the counselling resources. Do note that counselling services in our resource page are paid services. Bridging Hearts do not receive any payment for these services.

What is PREPARE/ENRICH?

​

PREPARE/ENRICH (PE) is an online couple assessment that is highly customized.  It is one of the most widely used programmes for premarital counselling and premarital education. The inventory can be used for marriage counselling, marriage enrichment, and dating couples considering engagement.

​

An important strength of the PREPARE/ENRICH Inventories is their strong psychometric properties. High levels of reliability and validity have been found for each instrument, making them valuable tools for research as well as clinical use. 

​

At Bridging Hearts, our PE certified Marriage Mentors will use the PE assessment results of the couple to guide them towards greater understanding and awareness of their relationship dynamics and to teach new skills.  These feedback and discussions may require 3-5 sessions.

What are the major goals of the PREPARE/ENRICH Programme?

The programme helps couples to:

• Explore strength and growth areas

• Strengthen communication skills

• Identify and manage major stressors

• Resolve conflict using the Ten Step Model

• Develop a more balanced relationship

• Explore family of origin issues

• Discuss financial planning and budgeting

• Establish personal, couple and family goals

• Understand and appreciate personality differences
